Mountain flowershike Alp Sigel
Hiking tip to the Cableway Alp Sigel.
The mountain hike starts in Pfannenstiel next to the valley station of the Alp Sigel Cableway. Take a comfortable and spectacular ride in the small gondola up to the magnificent alpine plateau. Linger for a moment and enjoy the gigantic panoramic view: to the south, you can see Staubern, Staubernkanzel, Hochhüser, Amboss and, at the end of the southern chain, the imposing rocky peaks of the Kreuzberge, with the Vorarlberg, St. Gallen and Graubünden mountains in the background. Towards the west, Widderalpstöcke, Hundstein, Altmann and, of course, the Säntis greet you. For the descent, hike gently past Alp Chüeboden and through a short stretch of forest until you reach the flat terrain of the Sämtis valley at the idyllic Alp Streckwees. You will reach the Berggasthaus Plattenbödeli (mountain inn) via the Sämtisersee Lake, one of three mountain lakes in the Alpstein, whose water temperatures invite you to take a cool dip. Return to the starting point in Pfannenstiel with a steep descent through the Brüeltobel; past the exciting Hexenwäldli.

Remarks
Tip: The ideal mountain hike in early summer, when the alpine flora on Alp Sigel is in bloom, a true delight!
