Free arrival and departure – how it works
Book a hotel, a B&B or a holiday apartment of your choice in Appenzellerland and indicate when making your reservation that you would like to travel by public transport.
Order your tickets online or by telephone at the Tourist Information Appenzell at least three days before arrival: appenzell.ch/grüninsgrüne Tel. +41 71 788 96 41
A few days before your arrival, Appenzellerland Tourismus will send you your free public transport tickets and promo code for the P+Rail offer. The accommodation provider will also send you the Appenzell holiday card. You will need this when you arrive for the last section of the route. By the way, there are over 20 free offers with the Appenzell Holiday Card. Delivery will be made by e-mail. This allows you to conveniently save the ticket on your smartphone or print it out at home.
