«Rondom Appezöll»

From the colourful main street to residential quarters that offer a spectacular view of the landscape.

Even the start of the walk on the Landsgemeindeplatz with its beautiful fountain is a pleasure. Passing the Gymnasium park, you soon leave the village centre slightly downhill via Sandgrube and crossing the main road to the "Münz" property, idyllically situated on the Kaubach stream. Following the Kaubach, you reach the Sitter and cross it on a footbridge. Now the route climbs for the first time and you reach the "Steig" with the chapel of St Charles Borromeo (be sure to take a look inside). Follow the meadow road uphill with great views until a path on the right leads you down a short slope and, after crossing the stream, you reach the sunny residential neighbourhood of Lehn, which you cross on short paths and neighbourhood roads down to the banks of the Sitter. Walk upstream with a beautiful view of the church past the playground to the pedestrian bridge. On the other bank of the Sitter, you walk along the elegant railway viaduct and turn into Weissbadstrasse, which takes you past particularly beautiful houses back to the main street.

Tip: The beautiful chapels along the way, sometimes inconspicuous at first glance

Note: Please follow the white signposts "Rondom Appezöll". The path can be walked in both directions.
