«Rondom Appezöll»

From the colourful main street to residential quarters that offer a spectacular view of the landscape.

The beginning of the walk through the colourful Hauptgasse to the Landsgemeindeplatz (main square) is already a first highlight. When passing the park of the grammar school, you will soon after leave the village centre slightly downhill via Sandgrube and cross the main road to the idyllically situated property "Münz" on the Kaubach Stream. Following the Kaubach, you reach the Sitter and cross it on an elegant footbridge. On the other side of the stream, the path ascends for the first time and you can reach "Steig". Next to which the Chapel St. Karl Borromäus is situated. We recommend taking a look inside. Afterward, follow the Flursträsschen up until a path takes you down a short slope on the right and, after crossing the stream, you will reach the particularly sunny residential quarter of Lehn. Now return to the bank of the Sitter and follow the stream upward, past a playground to a footbridge. On the other bank of the Sitter, walk along the elegant railway viaduct and turn into the street: Weissbadstrasse, which takes you past particularly beautiful houses and finally back to the main street.
