On a narrow path over a breathtaking ridge

Hiking tip up to the Berggasthaus Meglisalp (mountain inn).

From Pfannenstiel you can ascend the 657 metres in altitude to Alp Sigel with the small cable car. At the top, traverse the alp and ascend on a gentle mountain trail via Mans to the Bogartenlücke. Here you can enjoy the exciting view of the southern and northern Alpstein chain. Now the alpine, white-blue-white marked route over the Marwees begins (only for those who are sure-footed and free from vertigo). The trail climbs up steeply via an exposed passage before you reach the ridge with a fantastic view down and finally reach the summit cross. The narrow path follows the ridge to the Widderalpsattel. You can now descend on short scree passages, surrounded by alpine roses, along the ridge. After a stop at the charming mountain inn, you can return to Wasserauen via the Schrennenweg and subsequently through the Hüttentobel (hut ravine). For hikers who suffer from vertigo or are poorly equipped and for those travelling with children, we recommend the alternative uphill route via Seealpsee to Meglisalp.
