Appenzeller Bärli-Biber

What began in the 19th century as a small bread and Biber bakery is now a successful company with a reputation throughout Switzerland. For sixty years now, the family-run company Bischofberger AG has been fully committed to beaver and nut specialities - and with great success.

 

Appenzeller Bärli-Biber

The classic - popular far beyond the Appenzellerland. Precious spices, pure bee honey, first-class almonds and Swiss flour make the Bärli-Biber unmistakable and unique.

 

Appenzeller Bärli-Biber VEGAN

The well-known Bärli-Biber is now also available in a vegan version - instead of bee honey, the vegan Bärli-Biber is made with Swiss winter aid BIRNEL. The master bakers in Weissbad have worked hard - the vegan Bärli-Biber is in no way inferior to the original!
For the packaging, the well-known farmer's painter Theres Tobler created a lovely motif depicting the ‘Bereschöttle’.

 

White Nut Biber

Inspired by the traditional recipe for the White Beaver, the White Nut Beaver was created, an egg pastry with a delicately roasted hazelnut filling. The dough is made with Appenzell butter and Appenzell milk. This delicacy was inspired by the traditional ‘Landsgmeends-Chrempfli’ and is ideal as a sweet snack between meals.
