Spectacular crest with a marvellous view

Hiking tip to the Berggasthaus Plattenbödeli (mountain inn).

The ascent from Brülisau is easy at first, but later quite steep, passing through the colourful meadows of Rossweid to Chehr, to Alp Bärstein and finally to the foot of the Sigelwand. The ascent is steep almost vertical and leads through the spectacular Zahme Gocht, which is secured with wire ropes. From below it seems impregnable, but it is all the more beautiful on top! Once you have climbed the rocky edge of Alp Sigel, a unique view of the surrounding mountains reveals itself. From the ridge, you can also enjoy tremendous views down to Brülisau, Schwende and Weissbad. Afterward, a gentle descent follows, passing inquisitive cows, to the alp buildings of Alp Sigel. Take the alpine path and zigzag down to the inviting Plattenbödeli. Take a break here for refreshments, because the steep final descent through the Brüeltobel is quite challenging. Passing the legendary Hexenwäldli (witches' wood) with its small-headed pine trees, you reach the Pfannenstiel and eventually Brülisau.
