Appenzeller Huus – Huus Löwen ****

Dedicated to modern design and built from Appenzeller moon wood, the 4-star superior Huus Löwen, opened in summer 2023, blends contemporary comfort with the warm charm of the Appenzell region. The 24 rooms, spread across the historic inn and a modern extension, are offered in three categories. The historic rooms showcase traditional timber-frame construction and stunning Alpstein views, with exposed roof beams in the suite. Family rooms feature a king-size bed for parents and a bunk bed for up to two children, combining comfort and fun. Panoramic windows and a padded bench invite guests to enjoy the mountains and stars together. Gastronomy, a summer terrace, and the large Löwensaal hall provide space for private celebrations, corporate events, concerts, and cultural highlights.
