The Wasserauen-Ebenalp cable car takes you to the starting point of this mountain tour. Between mountain pines and alpine roses, you hike towards Alp Chlus in the south and up to the Berggasthaus Schäfler (mountain inn). From now on, the tour is reserved for those who are free from giddiness and are sure-footed. From the mountain inn westwards, the route leads around the Schäfler summit to the well-secured, short descent and along the south walls of the Läden and the impressive Altenalp towers. Via a slightly sloping section of trail, you reach the Steckenbergsattel and, crossing steep flanks, the Berggasthaus Mesmer (mountain inn). Treat yourself to a snack here before zigzagging up through a rocky passage to Ageteplatte. You can hold onto the safety ropes more or less the entire way. An unforgettable panoramic view awaits you at this rocky cut on the Rossmad. You have reached the highest point of your journey. You can now hike down the most beautiful alpine flora to the Säntisweg, finally reaching Meglisalp. Down to Seealpsee the last spectacular section: the Unterstrich trail through the mighty Teufelskanzel, which is guaranteed to amaze you, will take you to the Seealpsee. The last bit down to Wasserauen follows a paved road and is rather easy.
