Innerrhoden holiday on which, weather permitting, splendid processions take place in various villages, during which the Innerrhoden festive costume is worn.
The Corpus Christi service is celebrated at 8.45 a.m. in the inner courtyard of the St. Antonius grammar school with a maximum of 300 people, weather permitting. Afterwards, the small procession (without political dignitaries) moves in front of the parish church of St. Mauritius for the final blessing.
In case of bad weather, the Eucharist will be celebrated at 9.15 a.m. with a maximum of 100 people in the parish church of St. Mauritius, without a procession afterwards.
Corpus Christi services, sometimes with processions (weather permitting), also take place in the villages around Appenzell: for example in Schwende, Brülisau, Gonten, Eggerstanden, Haslen and Schlatt.
